CUATRO VALLES

The CUATRO VALLES Association, formed in March 1994, is a non-profit organisation formed by different public and private actors and governed by the Law on Associations and its Statutes. It aims to promote overall and sustainable rural development, serving as a nucleus for joining together and representing individuals, entities and other actors in the regions in which the Association works.

The Association exists as a Local Action Group (LAG), having presented in 1997 a Local Development Plan for the territory in which it operates, and since that date has created three Local Development Programmes, funded with EU and federal, provincial and local money (PRODER, PRODERCAL and LEADERCAL).

Thanks to these Programmes, new businesses, jobs and infrastructure have been created that have slowly changed the region’s economic landscape and helped to improve the quality of life of its residents.

The CUATRO VALLES Local Action Group provides information and guidance, develops projects, and creates business plans and feasibility studies. The Group works on tasks related to awareness-raising and training projects for the population, always furthering the project’s strategy of overall and sustainable development.
