Ecosystems

Castile and Leon encompasses a large area which allows to combine different environments and accommodate virtually all possible habitats. Mountains which surround and profile the vast plains of the interior, which are bathed in rivers and reservoirs, attest to this. This allows you to find great contrasts with Euro-Siberian species, such as the capercaillie in the Cantabrian Mountains, and Mediterranean species, such as the Iberian Imperial Eagle in the southern forests of Central System, and steppe species as Bustards.
