TRIPTICO ITINERARIO AMBIENTAL POR LAS AREAS DE ALIMENTACIÓN DE AVES CARROÑERAS

The Vultur-Voltoya Project, located in one of the most important natural protected places of the Segovia province, specifically in the Campo Azalvaro region, is a unique spot for it offers the visitor an ‘environmental itinerary’ that blends both educative and ecological purposes.

The ‘Environmental Itinerary through the carrion birds supplementary food areas’, is an imperative natural and free route for bird watch and nature lovers. There are 2 observatories, both with informative boards and leisure areas, where anyone could enjoy and watch the carrion birds around the supplementary food areas.

These observatories, are strategically based at places where birdwatchers, supported by binoculars or telescopes, will be close enough to watch the birds, their behavior and how they take part of the food chain through the recycling of the organic waste. All along the route, information about the environmental and biological values, such as the various specific species of birds living in this territory, will provided.

We promote a respectful attitude towards nature and our environment by teaching the importance of keeping our natural legacy intact from the human hand. We also provide information about the ancient cattle pathways and its interaction with carrion birds throughout the years.
