The Association for the Internal Development of the Central Area of Valladolid is a non-profit organisation that was forme don 19 May 1999, whose primary objectives are to promote and sustain local development practices in the region.

To liven up your imagination, you should know that important and historical Visigothic figures were born and died in these lands; famous and legendary riders such as Count Fernán González, Count Ansúrez and even Cid Campeador himself galloped across these lands; new lands in the recently-discovered New World were handed out here; Catholic Kings came to these lands in both war and peace; and in these lands the insane deliriums of Doña Juana were heard; their roads have seen the royal processions of Carlos I and Felipe II pass, just as they did much earlier with those of Alfonso XI and Pedro I; and on these fields the heroic Royalists fought and died and here, on this ground, their bodies, blood, and memory were gathered.
