PINE WOODS

The pine woods form huge extensions in flat areas of the plateau as well as mountain ranges. These tend to be formed by a unique type of pine, and so we can find Maritime pine and Stone pine woods in Segovia and Valladolid, as well as Scots pine and Mountain pine woods in the central and Iberian system.

Among the most representative species of these habitats we can name the Spanish Imperial Eagle, the Accipiter, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Goldcrest, European Crested Tit, Coal Tit, Azure-winged Magpie and the Hawfinch.
