ROCKY MOUNTAINS

Mountain range summits constitute a suitable refuge for some species which have adapted to make their nests in cavities within the mountain. This is the case of the Wallcreeper, the Alpine Chough and the White-winged snowfinch. Some examples of this habitat in the community are the Peaks of Europe, Sierra de Gredos, Montaña palentina and Sierra de Urbión.
