POEDA

The POEDA association is made up of city governments, associations, businesses, initiative centres, development institutes, unions, etc. from the area, with the goal of overall development in the regions of Órbigo, Páramo and Esla, in the south of the province of León. The objectives are to contribute to create an economic fabric and jobs, as well as to fully take advantage of the resources of the area in which POEDA operates.
The association’s goal is to serve as a point of joining together, convergence and representation for all public and private entities and social and individual actors that work for and are interested in internal development by diversifying the region’s economy, containing rural exodus and depopulation, and improving the income and quality of life of the inhabitants of the region.
POEDA offers an “Associated Development”, a programme that aims to improve the economic fabric of the southern part of León Province by generating added value for local products and appreciating other existing resources that can drive the area’s development.
